  •  The hand of Talhah radiyallahu ‘anh became lame.

  •   The leg of ‘AbdurRahman ibn ‘Awf radiyallahu ‘anh became paralysed.

The Garden of Death

  • During the Battle of Yamamah, the enemy retreated into a walled garden. They numbered 20 000. Bara’ ibn Malik radiyallahu ‘anh was catapulted over the wall and opened the gates from within. He sustained 40 wounds to his body and was tended by Khalid radiyallahu ‘anh for a month thereafter. That garden became known as “Hadeeqatul Mawt – The Garden of Death” because of the amount of people that were killed.

  •  During that battle, Thabit ibn Qays radiyallahu ‘anh put on his own kafan. He then dug two holes for his feet and fought till he was slain.
