  • 1 400 of the Sahabah radiyallahu ‘anhum took bay’ah at the hands of the Prophet sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, in order to avenge ‘Uthman radiyallahu ‘anh, whom they thought had been killed.

  • The left hand of the Prophet sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam represented the hand of ‘Uthmaan radiyallahu ‘anh.

  • Allah ta’ala was pleased with those who took this pledge, and thus it is known as the “Bay’atur Ridwaan – The Pledge of Allegiance of Good Pleasure”.
